UPHS Committees

ARCHIVES

The Archives Committee receives and catalogs donations to UPHS. Images and paper except mechanical drawings and blueprints are housed in the UPHS Collection at the American Heritage Center of the University of Wyoming. Mark Amfahr and Greg Gardner  are Co-Chairmen.  Other members of the Archive committee are Larry Hochhalter, Marc Entze, Wayne Monger and Jim Clausen.

CONVENTIONS

The Conventions Committee plans UPHS conventions. George Luchs is Chair.  Other members of the convention committee are Wayne Monger and Hilding Larson.

ELECTIONS

The Elections Committee plans and conducts UPHS Board Member elections. Shawn Woodward is Chair.

MARKETING AND MEMBERSHIP

The Marketing and Membership Committee plans and administrates UPHS advertising and member services, including the Calendar for Sustaining Members and the UPHS web site excluding the Members Area and the Company Store. Rob Leachman is Chair.

MODELING

The Modeling Committee supports model manufacturers with images, drawings and advice to endure their offerings of models of Union Pacific equipment and structures are as accurate and authentic as is practical. Steve Orth is Chair.

PUBLICATIONS

The Publications Committee plans and administrates books published by UPHS. Larry Hochhalter is Chair.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Information Technology Committee administrates the hardware and software used by UPHS, including the Company Store and the Members Area of the UPHS web site. Greg Gardner is Chair.

UPHS Mission Statement

The purpose of the Union Pacific Historical Society is to gather, preserve, and disseminate historical photos, documents, and information relating to the employees, management, equipment, facilities, traffic, and operations of the Union Pacific Railroad including its predecessor and subsidiary lines for the benefit of our members and the public.
