The Streamliner Article Wins Prestigious R&LHS Award

FreshFromThe West001WEBAn article featured in The Union Pacific Historical Society’s magazine, The Streamliner, has won a prestigious award from The Railway & Locomotive Historical Society. The R&LHS has announced that author Rob Leachman is the recipient of the David P. Morgan Article Award for 2013. This was awarded for part one of Rob’s article in The Streamliner entitled “Fresh From the West: Union Pacific’s Efforts to Promote Pacific Fruit Express Traffic in the 1970s,”

This two-part article was published in Vol. 26 No. 2 and Vol. 26 No.3 of The Streamliner in 2012. Please go to the R&LHS webiste at http://www.rlhs.org/Awards/article.shtml for more information.
